The Official Legitimate Bros Fantasyland

May 22, 2008
ON played their first show on May 10th with Keep It Clear, Circles, and Get The Most. It was tight. Russell is penning the review as we speak. They will be playing their second show today alongside Keep It Clear (third show ever), and more. Check the shows page. Their 7 inch titled "Vital Times" will be available at all upcoming, so check 'em out before you're forced to "bid hard". A bunch of Legitimatebros will be playing Rain Fest in Tacoma this weekend, so borrow a car and get there. In addition to the fest, Black Breath is playing Saturday night in Seattle with Warcry (Portland) and Blowback (Japan) at the Squid & Ink in Seattle -- for fans of sick & nasty punk.

Official Sinking Ships Is Breaking Up Press Release:

"Hey.

Sinking Ships will be playing Rain Fest in Seattle and Sound and Fury in Southern California. These will be our last two shows.

Thanks"

Everyone is still good friends, but it was just time for everyone to move on with their lives and do some other stuff. The 'Ships still have some debt, so help them out by buying from their Myspace merch store.

Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome the newest LEGITIMATEBROS to the family: ON will be playing their first show May 10th with friends Get The Most, Circles, and Keep It Clear. Location: The Booty Cave, a new Seattle venue with a secret address to confuse the fuzz. Email on at legitimatebros dot com for show info. Other news: Shook Ones recently recorded 6 songs for two split 7 inches with End Of A Year and Hour Of The Wolf. One of them sounds like Dimension Zero. Sinking Ships were deported from Japan after throwing poop at cars. Circles left yesterday for a west coast tour. Watch out for guys in shiny shoes. Keep It Clear will be entering the studio soon to finish their debut 7 inch as soon as their drummer is let out of the dog house. Black Breath has four new songs up--one is a re-recorded classic, and the rest have never been heard by human ears. They are playing 3 local shows (two Seattle, one Bellingham) in the next week and a half. Bring your neck brace.

March 31, 2008
Sinking Ships and Shook Ones are both leaving for tour this week: Japan, and West Coast, respectively. Upon return, Ships will enter the studio to record LP two. It's gonna be hotter than Ace's sweatpants in July.

March 18, 2008
Yesterday was a tasty day of drop-ins at The Dangler. Let's take a look:

Paul DC of Sinking Ships and passing-on-smoking-addiction fame. Funds of Shook Ones/Black Breath, often seen "on break" and trying out for the bomb squad. Nasty - former Shook Ones/current Sinking Ships skin-tickler. Sam and Spare Duder of Sex Vid and eBay fame. Ryan Jones of Richmond, VA - often seen swinging from ropes, and/or flying out of trees.

March 11, 2008
Black Breath's Legitimate Bros page is live! More content for these foul beasts coming soon. Until then, check out Bathory's Blood Fire Death. I did. Europeans can--and will--order the Keep It Clear demo from Sailin' On Records in the Netherlands. The hottest shit to hit the streets since JabbaWockeeZ. Shook Ones have a new music video for their hit single, "Order Form". Check it out on their page, or on TRL this friday.

February 29, 2008
Happy Leap Day! If you missed Get The Most in Anaheim the other night, check them out at the Rivalry Records Showcase tomorrow in Berkeley. This is as real as your life is ever gonna get. Speaking of real, Keep It Clear have signed with Holland's Not Just Words Records. They will release the Vancouver Edgemen's deput EP in Europe later this year. Sinking Ships are holed up in Dangler Studios writing their second LP to be recorded in spring 2008. Expect greatness. I had a dream about Terry last night. We were at this party and a bunch of nerds in trenchcoats shot him in the forehead with a pellet gun. I beat up one of them, and tried to beat up another one, but then I woke up.

February 21, 2008
Sinking Ships' Japan Tour dates with Down To Nothing are up! Get stoked, Japanese peeps. As if the West Coast hasn't had enough Shook Ones, the gorgeous lads will be travelling down to California to play Bamboozle Left in early April. I heard they're playing the same stage as My Chemical Romance.

February 12, 2008
Just in time for Valentine's Day, we have a sinfully tasty gift for all you lovers out there. The long lost, and official, review of the final Go It Alone show. It has been floating for months in the intangible expanses of the interweb, finally reaching its destination today. A true story of love lost and found. If you weren't one of the lucky packed-house attendants, read on to see what you missed. If you were there, take a trip down memory lane and relive your wildest night of 2007. Thanks to Vancouver's living legend, Russell, for making it real for us.

GO IT ALONE Last Show Review
December 1, 2007
Seylynn Hall, North Vancouver
Special guests: Verse, The First Step, Allegiance, In Stride, Shook Ones.

So here it is. The final performance of Vancouver's favorite heshers, Go It Alone. 5 years, 12 members, 4 seven inches, 2 LP's, 1 split, 1 demo, and nearly 400 shows all leading up to December 1st's display of Legitimate Realness. Old man winter had opened up a can of frosty punishment on the packs of kids and bands here in North Vancouver, but none were willing to let the snow deter them from rocking their fucking asses off. Here is how the whole shebang played out...

After a brief introduction by some handsome devil claiming to be the MC, the Shook Ones got ready to kick this pig. Girls swooned from the first chord to the last. Was it Scotterson's flawless stubble, or the sight of Freddie Funds that caused it? Who's really to say. The show was off to bang.
REALNESS RATING: REAL

Next up was In Stride. There was an audible sigh of relief in the crowd when it was revealed that this would NOT be the last In Stride show (ed. note: they later played a porper "last show" in January). With that out of the way the kids were free to rage like there was no tommorrow. Furious circle pitting ensued, as well as a re-cap of some near legendary pit beef of yesteryear. Blizzaow!
REALNESS RATING: SO REAL

After an anouncement regarding 0% financing in the GIA Deal Zone, Allegiance took the stage and proceeded to drop some science for the last time in the Northwest. Eightclip and company fuckin' handled it. The hits were played, the kids were psyched, and the action in the pit was straight out of the parking lot at Salt Lake City's Wild Mushroom Pizza.
REALNESS RATING: UNDENIABLY REAL

By the time The First Step were up and running, you could tell the crowd needed the realness to be taken to the next level, so TFS had no choice but to accommodate. With the notable absence of Greg Bacon due to an excursion to Guatemala, Legitimate Bros own Beej Berres handled the low end thunder like a possessed male model. No illusions here, just raging street bangers front to back. Oh Baby!
REALNESS RATING: OUTRAGEOUSLY REAL

Lets be honest about most bands here; If their plane had to make an emergency landing due to weather conditions, got held up at the aiport for hours, missed a show, barely slept in the last 48 hrs time, and had to deal with the U.S. border... well, they would probably run home like the little groms that they are. Verse is not most bands. They slammed out rager after rager as if to say "OI! FUCK YOOOUUUU!" to every wack weather scenario and bogus airline since the beginning of time. Boosh.
REALNESS RATING: TERRIFYINGLY REAL

After a brief intermission for the crowd to catch their breath, Go It Alone prepared to take the stage one last time. The room knew they were in for some serious reality as soon as the white sheet covering not 1, not 2, but 4 FUCKING FULL STACKS AND 2 FULL BASS STACKS was removed. Kram gave a brief introduction, and with the first chords of Relics, the place exploded.

It was a blitzkreig of hits, flawless front to back. From busting out Go It Alone from the Demo, to the King Of Christmas himself taking the stage for Turn It Off, all points of the bands 5 years were covered. Kram stagedove like a madman mid-song, flattening droves of weiners along the way. Krokus put Sheila E to shame, hammering a relentless fury of steel fisted precision. Sick as fuck. Smokestack's bass mastery was only outdone by his White-Fro. Ace's guitar sound from this night will be taught in my class on tone under the heading: "GIRTH". And every riff Abe squeezed out of his entirely borrowed gear seemed to snarl "HELLLL YEEAHHHH!"

All in all 20 bangers were played, tons of sweat and blood were left on the stage, Bro's cheered, Euro's cried, and the entire crowd was left bruised and happy. And when the final chords of "Our Mistakes" fell on Seylynn Hall that night, another great moment in Northwest Hardcore came to a close. And although some may mourn the loss of this band to the halls of the Legitimate Valhalla, this reviewer takes heart in knowing that this night, and this band will forever be remembered by those who were a part of it. This was the end of an era. And Go It Alone went out the way all great bands should; at the top of their game, louder than bombs, and covered in a pile of their friends. I miss them already.
REALNESS RATING: MAY ACTUALLY HAVE BEEN TOO REAL!
(in the event of a realness overload, we must resort to the ultimate barometer...)

WYLE OUT O'METER!

10 FUCKING BEEJ HEADS!

LEGITIMATELY REAL.

- xrussellx

Coming up: February 9th - Kyle Deville's 27th birthday show with Black Breath, Circles, Get The Most, and guests in Seattle.

January 14, 2008

November 22, 2007
It's American Thanksgiving, and you know what that means! Shook Ones tour booking is now being handled by Ryan O'Conner at Twilight Booking (ryan@twilightbooking.com)!

November 20, 2007
Go It Alone's last show on December 1 will also be In Stride's last show. They're calling it quits after three years of making sick jams. Don't try to miss this show. Click on the "Buy that shit Now" button on the show calendar to the right. In other news, Sinking Ships and Shook Ones have parted ways with Revelation Records. When asked to comment on the split, outspoken Shooks guitarist Kelly Aiken said, "I love boobies".

November 3, 2007
In Stride's 7" release party is tonight at Casa De La Artista in Vancouver, BC. Don't miss that shit. Legitimate Bros, Circles, and Get The Most are playing too, along with Poverty Bay Saints and Vanguard. Shook Ones are still on their tour of parts of the country where cigarettes are so cheap, they can't afford NOT to smoke.

October 29, 2007
Sinking Ships will tour Japan with fireworks enthusiasts, Down To Nothing, from March 14 to March 24. Dates and more info coming shortly. For now, visit Go It Alone's Myspace to order tickets for their last show.

October 28, 2007
Go It Alone is playing their LAST SHOW EVER on the First of December, 2007. Shook Ones, In Stride, Verse, Allegiance, and The Beej Step will round out an evening of stage dives, at Seylynn Hall in North Vancouver, BC, Canada. Check out GIA's Myspace for travel info and more. The top-quality dudes from Sinking Ships are back from their second European tour. If found this out the hard way when Danny sent me a creepy text message at one in the morning that said, "I'm in your kitchen." Apparently, the guys from Ruiner smell like shit, don't wear underwear, and are complete scumbags. I can vouch for this. On the other hand, Turkish is a perfect gentleman.

October 1, 2007
Get The Most are playing three East Coast shows with The First Step at the end of October. Don't sleep on this. Shook Ones begin their fall US tour this month. They will be hitting some regions they haven't been to in years (I'm talking to you Chicago and Minneapolis). I've been too busy eating whey protein to make a lot of updates on this website, but I'll try to be better about it in the future.

September 12 , 2007
Sinking Ships are heading to Europe tomorrow for a four week tour with Ruiner. Check the dates. Go It Alone returned from a North American tour and after heading as far east as this continent allowed, all are happy to be home. Here is one telling of a little story from the trip by Eric. Excuse the lack of big letters.

since the ferries to and from newfoundland are 7 hours or so they are fairly expensive, and more expensive with more passengers. so naturally we were hiding everyone but the driver as we do on b.c. and washington state ferries. it has worked well every time, even with about 15 people hiding on a bremerton ferry once.

so the return trip from newfoundland back to nova scotia started like any other... everyone got in the back and concealed themselves with sleeping bags and didn't make a peep until we were through and i had handed the boarding pass off (which indicates how many passengers are aboard). i drove up, paid the lady, did my best to engage her in a conversation about my dealings on her island. basically we thought up this story on the way there about how i was researching snakes and the trailer was full of instruments such as heart rate monitors and whatnot, more as a joke than anything. clearly it was funny because it is well known that newfoundland has no snakes. she was less receptive to this conversation than the lady at the ticket office on the way there, but she admitted she hated snakes. i told her i was doing research on snakes in newfoundland and didn't find shit, and i drove on to the next step which was an agriculture search.

it was a little garage were i pulled up and saw a few officials milling about. i started to get nervous when i saw them opening the trailer in front of me and looking around but i was keeping cool. time to put the lies to the test. we hadn't been pinched yet, and i wasn't about to deal with that embarassment, or paying an extra $100 or so. an agriculture bro walked up, said hello, and went immediately to the back of the van and opened the door. we'll call this guy todd. now, there are four benches in the van, and every one of them had someone on it, covered with a sleeping bag. it looked slightly suspicious at the very least. he started to poke around so i jumped out and ran back to distract him, which worked. i closed up the back saying there were just boxes back there (there were two) and took him to the trailer.

todd wasn't the ripest grape on the vine, which i was hoping would work to my advantage.

"what you got in der?"

"oh, just some gear." i wanted to leave my options open. i opened one of the trailer doors, showed him a bit just so he knew it was mostly "plastic and metal" and then closed it up. i figured we were in the clear. luckily he hadn't poked around more in the van.

"so i'll just take a look in the side door and you can be on your way," said todd.

shit.

i walked up to the side because luckily it was locked and required my keys to open it. i positioned myself in between him and the van figuring my ability to keep him away from the van was going to be the determing factor in whether he found everyone or not. this was going to be a difficult position to maintain considering his job was to look for plants and animals inside things. as i jiggled the keys in the door (ace ventura style, so as to alert the peeps in the van) i kept reassuring him that all i had were trash bags and some cooked food i was going to eat. nothing fresh. no animals. basically my heart was racing, partially because i was on the verge of being caught and partially because i had to think a million miles an hour to try to make everything seem normal while convincing him not to touch the people hiding on the benches inches away from the door. my heart is racing just re-telling this, haha.

i opened the door and no pee bottles fell out. weird. i wildly threw up empty paper bags and discarded boxes of potato wedges from the floor and tried to show him that i just had garbage. i didn't mention the 10 personal bags and big heaps of body on every bench. oh man...

so far i was still between him and the van, but he kept looking over my shoulder with an eye of equal parts suspition and curiosity.

"there's no people in here right? just you?"

"yep, just me."

"what's on that bench, under the bag? that's not a person?"

it was kari (our roadie) on the bench closest to the door. her feet were toward me.

"oh that's nothing...," i said as i started to lightly punch her feet, trying to make the pile seem fluffier than it was. sleight of hand was all i had going for me because with even the slightest probing of his own, the jig would be up. while i ruffled her sleeping bag and poked at her, he was distracted by something else.

"that one's moving!" he yelled looking terrified.

"what?!" i asked as if he were crazy. "that's not moving."

clearly it was moving. russell was breathing and it was obvious.

"what, yeah! there it is again!"

i poked at russell under the sleeping bag as if i didn't know whether there was a person there or not.

"nope, nobody in here. that's just... i was doing snake research," i explained.

the guy snapped back away from me and looked like he saw a ghost.

"that's... snakes... you got snakes under der?!"

"no no no! i don't have any snakes in there! there aren't any in newfoundland, that's why i'm going home." todd had apparently never heard about that. he looked relieved enough to keep moving with the investigation, but not enough to let me go.

"yeah, i have a bunch of equipment in here, for my snake research." this just seemed to interest him more, but i had to go along with the lie.

"what kinda equipment?"

"oh well, that one is like a uh..." my mind was racing. "that one is like a blood pressure reader," i said as i grabbed his arm and squeezed, hoping it would distract him from looking any further. i was still between him and the people on the benches, but he was still looking past me like i was keeping big todd from a big piece of cake.

"so it's just you in here?" todd needed more convincing.

"yeah yeah, just me. i just gotta get this equipment back home."

"there it is again! it's moving!"

"yeah... that one doesn't have an on/off switch, sometimes the equipment just moves on it's own. i can't turn it off." it was pretty bad, but he was dumb.

he started to reach for it, and i cut him off again moving toward russell myself and poking him some more, trying to ruffle the sleeping bag to conceal his fucking breathing. but poking him was just making him nervous so he was breathing heavier.

"yeah, it's all light sensitive, so i gotta keep the equipment covered up." finally, that should back him off.

"that's not a person?!" he reached forward and i couldn't really stop him from lifting up the corner of the bag and revealing russell's leg. he stepped back a bit and then threw back the sleeping bag to uncover russell's whole body.

"that's a person!" he exclaimed.

"oh that? that's just russell. he's basically a robot." the guy looked terrified.

russell faked waking up, rubbed his eyes and asked groggily "yo, are we back yet?"

"no no, we're not even close." i turned to the guy "he's been in a coma! we've been working so hard and he's just passed out." the guy was bewildered.

"so am i still gonna make the ferry?!" i tried shifting the conversation as i slammed the doors on him and my instruments. just then another lady walked up to assess the situation with her co-worker, clearly overhearing my web of lies, but i was already on my way out. i ran around to the driver's side and drove off. i saw them staring with their mouths open in the side view mirror as i handed off my 'one passenger' boarding pass and got on the ferry.

Throwdown.

Circles are the latest addition to the LegitimateBros.com active roster. You know these guys from their years in Blue Monday and other bands. Download the demo from their page, or order the cassette directly from the band. Don't miss their blistering set at the LEGITIMATE BROCASE II. And don't miss Sinking Ships on their US tour right now! And check out their new jam on their Myspace page.

July 11, 2007
And now the moment you have all been waiting for... the return of the LEGITIMATE BROCASE. The second Brocase features your favorite lads from Go It Alone, Shook Ones, Get The Most, In Stride, Circles, and special guests Sunset Riders. Sinking Ships had to decline due to contractual obligations. If you miss this show, you will be able to catch most of these bands at this year's Sound & Fury festival in Ventura, CA. To get amped, watch this trailer for the 2006 DVD. Bring extra dollaz to the fest to set yourself up nice with one of those. For fans of Entombed.

July 2 , 2007
Attention: Anyone with gardening knowledge, or better yet, a thirst for destruction. The Dangler and its residents have a shrub/shitty bush problem in the backyard. It's too big. Can someone donate their time by bringing a saw or other cutting device to this house and mulch some bogus growth? If so, please just show up and do it. You will be rewarded with free shirts, records and cd's by your favorite Legitimatebros bands. Thank you.

Sincerely,

The Dangler
PS. Where was Dr. Celsius? He lied.

June 30, 2007
Yo, Sinking Ships has finished their new 7", Ten, to be released in July on Revelation Records. The Ships will be relentlessly supporting the new record all summer and fall, in the US, Mexico, and Europe. Check the calendar. T-t-t-totally dude.

June 29, 2007
Go It Alone is releasing their new LP "Histories" tomorrow at the Ukrainian Cultural Center in Vancouver. Bone Thugs' "1st of tha Month" will be played promptly at midnight. Special guests include Shook Ones, Sunset Riders, Wait In Vain, and Circles. Circles is a new Vancouver band featuring all members of Blue Monday still allowed to set foot in Canada. Legitimatebros page coming soon!

June 14, 2007
In the Common Goals camp, their "Core Values" demo is being released by none other than newlywed Aram Arslanian on vinyl format. Expect that late July. Preorders for the new "Moment in Time EP" are being taken at crucialresponse.com. As far as tours are concerned, an East Coast weekend with The First Step in October is in the works as well as a Spring 2008 European tour with Fired Up from CT and Common Cause from Norway. Get into it.

June 11, 2007
Chad from Vancouver's In Stride tells Legitimatebros.com that their long awaited 7" will finally come out on Bottled Up Records in the first week of July. They're currently booking shows for the summer, and plan to tour down the west coast for Sound & Fury weekend. Check back here for confirmed dates. Trust no other sources. Seattle heartthrobs Sinking Ships will be touring all summer long. Sorry ladies, they're taken. Check the calendar, fools!

May 20, 2007
Go It Alone begin their headlinging European tour in Prague today. Check them out, Euros. Sinking Ships have announced some early dates for their summer US tour.

May 4, 2007
The Legitimate Bros are pleased to announce the triumphant return of IN STRIDE!!! They'll be playing Rain Fest in Seattle at the end of May. We'll have more information about that shit soon. I think First Blood is playing, which seals it for me. Shook Ones are not playing, despite what you may have heard. Also, Sinking Ships has a Merchnow store, so check that shit out.

April 26, 2007
Go It Alone begin their 25th European tour today, in Holland. They will be supporting Verse with Justice for this tour, and then begin their own headlining Europe tour on May 20. Shook Ones are back from Japan, where they drank a lot of booze and smoked a lot of cigarettes. But as far as I know Bo is still TTD. Their split 7" with Easel (Alliance Trax) is available directly from the band (bellinghamladsclub@gmail.com), and will soon be available at their Merch Direct webstore. Also, you can check out one of the new songs at the Shook Ones' Myspace, along with incriminating pictures from the Japan tour. Since Ace isn't around to make fun of me, I've been jamming the new Avril Lavigne LP and the new Machine Head LP lately. The Avril record has more bad words than the Machine Head record.

April 9, 2007
Go It Alone has a Myspace page. Don't ask why or how (we don't want to talk about it), just go here, listen to two new songs, and add them as your friends: myspace.com/goitalonehc. What we do want to talk about is lifting weights. Who wants to get huge? Kidding... put your boner away, jock.

April 4, 2007
Go It Alone's Histories LP is up for pre-order at Rivalry records. You can get the 7" single there as well, to round out your listening experience. Big holes only. Speaking of GIA, they played this weekend with Pressvre from LA. 6131 Records. Shook Ones left this morning for Japan. They may never come back. Sinking Ships are back in town. I take back every bad thing I said about their van. I saw it and it is beautiful. Nevermind what's on the inside. That doesn't count for anything.
Get The Most is mixing their upcoming 7", tentatively titled... we ain't gonna tell you.

March 21, 2007
We forgot to mention... Get The Most just finished recording what is slated to be the top youth crew 7" EP of the year. Check out Crucial Response when that drops. "For fans of everything."

Speaking of Get The Most, they are playing two shows this weekend in Vancouver and Victoria with Fired Up from da east. Don't miss those Conneticut lovers. Go It Alone is playing one of more shows. We won't say which one. Pre-order the new GIA single from the upcoming LP through Rivalry records. Or, listen to the mp3, assume that the b-sides probably don't sound like TAD either, and spend your hard-earned cash on printing some bootleg 8-Way Santa shirts (did you know that was named after a type of blotter acid?) with the newest and most acclaimed screenprinting operation in the northwest. Run by Legitimatebros' own... ACE/FACE. Details coming soon. Watch this in the meantime to hold you ever.

Shook Ones are touring Japan soon. Local favorites JimmyHat will be the openers. Be cordial with them or they may print shirts of birds shitting on you. Also, if you want to see what Kelly from Shook Ones likes to look at on the internet, the images are ghosted into the screen of a monitor he left here. First come, first served. Still works!

Sinking Ships bought a new conversion van and a trailer. I give it 8 months max before that 3/4 ton beaut shits the bed. Does anyone want that short guitarist's fouton mattress? Yuck.

There are many old guitar/bass/PA cabs laying about Legitimatebros HQ. If you are interested, get ahold of one of us or stop by. We need to liquidate.

March 9, 2007
Sinking Ships put some more 85 grade gasoline in their van and blew it up so they bought a new one with a trailer. Donations can be sent to Eric or Nate and we will buy lots of burri... err... we'll make sure those dudes get it. When those guys come to your town, be sure to comment on Paul's new guitar. He loves compliments.

March 9, 2007
Shook Ones now have their own Merch Direct webstore. There's a new hoodie design, plus the "Repeater" shirt in navy. Peep that shit. Sinking Ships are in Ventura tonight, and play Tijuana tomorrow. If you're in TJ tomorrow, check out "The Burlesque", and get your private parts grabbed by scary stripper/prostitutes.

March 7, 2007
I just had a dream that i was shot in the head last night. It was the most realistic shit I have ever experienced (without actually knowing what it feels like to get shot in the head). It was totally shitty. Somehow my man Nasty and I found ourselves in an unscrupulous area after nightfall and needed to rescue all our pro-gear from across the street. Basically we just had to get past this guy that was supposedly a good, yet irritable dude so we could get to our van and trailer. I think we were on tour with Buckethead or something. I believe we were somewhere in Florida. We started walking toward the vehicle, slowly, so as not to disturb the angry dude who ended up having a gun. He started waving it around as we got closer and shooting in our general direction. It wasn't too scary and I wasn't convinced he was using real bullets. I didn't hear and ricochettes like in the movies, so blanks they must have been, right? I got a little more courage and convinced Nasty to quit being such a boner and just follow me but just as we were crossing a ditch the fucker shot me square in my dome. I fell back into Nasty's embrace who was shot immediately after in the arm or something.

I have never been more confused. Often I can realize that I am dreaming while I'm dreaming and it makes dealing with stuff like that pretty easy. Someone points a gun at me and I tell them to fuck off and then steal their car, but this time I thought it was all completely real. So I fell back into Nasty's arms (1.5 arms at this point) and wasn't sure if I was dead or not. After a few seconds I figured I was alive but that I was going to die very soon. Bummer. I passed out and got carried into a house nearby where my extended family resided and they started checking me out. No one seemed worried enough to enlist the services of medical professionals, so instead they gave me some pain killers and when I woke up it was like the Wizard of Oz with all of them standing over me. I could feel a hole in the roof of my mouth toward the back that was bleeding down my throat. On the top of my head was another weird hole of some sort. My left nostril felt all crappy too. I figured the bullet entered through my nose, hit my palate, shot up, broke the top of my skull, and fell back down because after a few minutes I coughed up the bullet. It looked more like a 15 amp fuse, but nonetheless it was lodged above my mouth and with it chunks of pinkish stuff that resembled wet insulation came out which I took to be parts of my fuckiiiiiiin BROIN. I stopped trying to cough up that stuff and laid back down. It was a wonder that I was functioning, but after a while I started to get really amped that I had just been bucked in the head and lived to tell about it. The shit hurt though... the painkillers were wearing off and the only way to get more was to get a shot of some drug above my eye. No thanks.

I woke up and had to check my head to see if it was real. Luckily all I found was some gross mucous and an extended hair. It's too bad though... that was a sick tour.

The new Go It Alone LP is done! A three-song 7" single is slated to be released in March, containing one song from the LP and two tracks not to be released anywhere else. The LP should drop in late April or early May around the time Go It Alone starts their 3rd European tour with Verse and Belgium's Justice. More info on that tour can be found at Avocado Booking.

After listening to the new LP, respected vocalist of Get The Most/ex Blue Monday guitarist Señor Bubbles had this to say: "It sounds like a tank!"

So there you have it. Until then, check out Merch Now for some shirts. A new design will be up there soon.

Sinking Ships are back from their brief tour and played a blistering set with Blacklisted and others in Seattle a couple nights ago. Mosh. Go It Alone is deep in Castle Ultimate in Oakland, California. They're recording for an up-coming 11-song LP that will be released later this year. They will finish the guitar tracks tonight, and possibly begin vocals tonight or tomorrow. Regarding showing up at the studio without a snare, hi-hats, or bass gear, Ace quipped, "It's like we're Ripped To Shreds or something..."

Sinking Ships have embarked on their west coast/Texas tour with Shipwreck and Blacklisted. Check 'em out. Go It Alone is recording in a few weeks. Shook Ones are recording on the 19th for a split 7" with some Japanese heartthrobs who are yet un-named. Oh baby! Blue Monday broke up.

Go It Alone merch bananas made easier! Check out NOW THAT'S WHAT I CALL MERCH VOL. 1 to get a few designs without ever leaving your bedroom. For those interested, yes, they have all touched Beej's nether regions. There is also a Merchnow link up on that band page of theirs. These sons of northern darkness will be recording in two weeks for a new LP. Make sure you're in the drop zone when the time comes.

Oh shit. It's 2007. So far Steven Segal's Out For Justice is the movie of the year. Who knew he helped pen the crowd-pleasing Don't Stand in My Way? Gregg Allman may have performed it, but he sure as hell couldn't come up with licks like that. Check out the latest SS effort. Mojo Priest. It's time to treat yourself to something nice.

Also, there has been a friendly effort to get Russel back on his feet. If you like things, peep this eBay auction on his behalf. Pay much attention to the descriptions and mostly to outbidding those trying to snake that No Warning test.
